Why would not it fund those who were orchestrating it?

It’s small money for big strategic win, so obviously they dis fund it, and the only question who would have taken their dirty money.

    FTFY....
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

That is what's known in the real world as a trade deal. It's only bent in your eyes, because you despise both parties.
Should we lock up your local corner shop owner because he occasionally takes "Russian money"?

Odd that Banks should lie about this meetings with embassy staff.

There is no legitimate reason to meet ambassador of of sworn enemy of UK without presence of Foreign Office officials - in fact that should be basic requirement for anybody who is fooking stupid enough to get in business with countries like Russia.

But you right - it was real world trade deal: Banks appears to have sold out his country for a lot of dosh, some of which appears to have been given to Farage but large part went to campaign.

Why is it ok for a private citizen to meet ambassador of a foreign hostile country in private to discuss some deals?

                      It's totally not ok.
