Climate change: UK 'can cut emissions to nearly zero' by 2050

All thanks to Brexit - Climate change: UK 'can cut emissions to nearly zero' by 2050 - BBC News

And, as anyone who's been to Africa or Asia recently, knows full well, the UK could quadruple its carbon emissions and it wouldn't make the slightest difference. Cutting emissions to zero might shut the kids up for about 5 mins, but that's about it.

Best do nothing then. Blame the others.

So you don't think that the activities of the likes of India and China (to name but two) are likely to undermine anything that we might achieve here?

Don't rush to answer. Try thinking about it first..........if you are capable that is.

Everyone has to do something, but by always blaming others, nothing will be done.

Why does China have so much pollution? Is it because greedy people want to buy the cheapest possible products, and don’t care about the environmental and labour costs?

          That’s you.

I am sure much the same argument could have been made for the Titanic crew that supervised the lifeboats having, instead, stayed aboard and bailed with their hats.

Possibly because they have no qualms about activities like building and using coal-fired power stations, coupled to having zero regard for the health and welfare of their citizens in a whole raft of areas of their industry and society?

Why not do your own research instead of hysterically and piously vaporing all the time?

If it makes you feel better to trudge along to Waitrose with a hessian carrier to buy your Quinoa and Lentils then so be it.

And you might want to stop making fanciful assumptions about what other people do or do not do. You have zero idea of that, and by jumping to conclusions as you seem so prone to do, you just make yourself look stupid.

An activity which, on your part, needs no enhancement.

Maybe you could stop virtue-signalling and explain just why that might be a factor? Just maybe such people are not "greedy" and are just "poor"?
But don't let that wobble your high horse for you.

Since whatever we do makes the square root of bugger-all difference, "nothing" seems like quite a good call.

We need to ban central heating, all that CO2 is boiling the planet!

Let's set the example of displaying just what we intend to do to mitigate the effects of climate change, rather than pointlessly attempting to attribute blame.

Far better use of our time and resources.
