Brexiteer brains explode as Scotland wants Indyref2
Shetland was given to Scotland as a security against the payment of the dowry of his daughter Margaret by the King of Norway. As the Norwegians didn't pay up Scotland annexed the islands
As the Norwegians have plenty of cash, they should be able to pay back with 550 years or so of interest and get Shetland back, which would bring Shetland inside the EEA and Schengen areas
Ireland had to fight a war of independence. In these enlightened times, Scotland had a vote and decided it would rather stay in the union.
As I said, circumstances have drastically changed and so have Scotland public opinion. england promised Scotland something and then delivered the opposite (and, by the way, something the vast majority of Scotland did not vote for).
england holding on to that old vote is just proving my point: you guys are literally TERRIFIED of being abandoned.
I said you're like an old girlfriend that we've outgrown but actually you look more like a child afraid of the dark. Don't be scared of being alone. It's time for you to grow up and let us go.
