It's not a big deal. You just write the contents and value on a label that you stick to the parcel.
Of course it’s only a small thing. Just one more small thing, that adds up to increased red tape and costs. Small thing here, small thing there, it all adds up.
As for the value, again only a small thing to write it on the customs form. What’s it used for? Small increments in additional costs for the recipient.
