Currently going up by about 2000/min.

At that rate it will pass the number of leave votes in the referendum with a couple of days to spare before the 29th.

It's not a vote for or against, it's a petition and the lazy bastards don't even have to get out of bed to add to the petition.
It will run out of steam well before it gets to that point. You only have to look at the signature distribution on the map to tell you that. The high concentrations of signatures will soon saturate severely limiting the maximum number.

Still as I said earlier If you are happy to have the scots dictating UK government policy then carry on

note that the areas where intelligent people (the ones with great universites) live have far higher numbers.
    Oxford, Cambridge, Ediburgh.

North Wales, Yorkshire, Northern Ireland ... not so many - (excluding Nick Clegg's old seat where they probably feel really guilty)

The number of people signing the online petition suddenly rose overnight following Theresa May’s speech at Downing Street. Another 200,000 signatures were added in the eight hours after midnight.
Only 16.9 million to go then...

You, and the most vocal remainers on Twitter, checking this number overy few minutes, are the reason the site is swamped, and keeps going down.

Perhaps, if you want the number to grow, stop adding load to the system.. #justasuggestion
