	There are plenty of arguments as to whether this is right or wrong. However, if/when subsidies are removed from UK farmers there will be many farms that will no longer being producing produce.
Other countries (eg New Zealand) have already been through the period of removing subsidies and have come out the other side leaner and stronger, but not without a great deal of pain during the transition.
