EU plans to ground British flights to the EU for no deal

Although Airlines won't have the freedom to fly to the EU in the event of a no deal, the good news is that a basic service will be allowed.

    EU no deal plans

Not a problem, if there are not enough flights, you can simply queue up at Dover.

Not a problem we can reciprocate and prevent all EU transatlantic flights over UK airspace. See who blinks first. As a lot of airlines using UK airports and airspace are non UK owned, if they can't fly in UK airspace then it must be UK airspace that isn't safe then no one should fly in UK airspace post 29th March 2019.

Indeed. And the RAF could use some target practice.

When are we flooding the chunnel?

How do you think EU countries are going to fly to the US when we pull the rug out from underneath the Shanwick agreement?

"Approximately 80% of flights within the North Atlantic region fly through Shanwick airspace."

What's their fallback on that one then, eh?

            Opps. It was in there.

There were also several disgusting emails from admin - I wish I could un-see them.

We can't, but even if we could, have you looked at a Great Circle map lately? We're not a particularly large obstacle in the way.

If the UK stands firm the EU will fold.

But we do control an awful lot of North Atlantic airspace.
