ECJ is expected to back up the Advocate General that in fact yes UK can unilaterally cancel Article 50.

ECJ says delivery date of its verdict is no sooner than April 2019.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

        A provincial Spanish lawyer.

        "the non-binding opinion"

Is this what you have reduced yourselves to?

Presumably, yes. The result is useful in the sense that Parliament now know their options, but May has been very clear that her Government will not be revoking A50, whether unilaterally or otherwise.

It’s May’s Deal or No Deal, and Parliament support No Deal even less than May’s Deal.

By process of elimination, when all other options are ruled out then the only option left (no matter how absurd) is May’s Deal.

It's what you Brexiters have reduced the options to.
            Hard Brexit now!

Who do you think is going to revoke A50? Unless there is a sudden LibDem - SNP coalition, it's not going to happen. Corbyn won't do it, because he's far more anti-EU than May (and she certainly won't do it).
If you can truly see where this is heading, you'd better get yourself down to Ladbrokes, because nobody else seems to...

It's non-binding in the same way that most things politicians say are "non- binding". It carries weight, it's an official opinion and has been given in a written, formal context. The ECJ tends to follow this advice in around 70-80% of cases.

In addition to that, no matter what side of the fence you're on, I think we can all admit/agree that it would absolutely suit the EU's agenda and purposes to allow us to revoke A50.

As it stands, the overwhelming likely hood is that the ECJ will back this opinion.

Of course, referring to an ECJ Advocate General as a "provincial Spanish lawyer" pretty much says it all as to your intelligent interpretation of the matter.

If May's BRINO (the upcoming amended one with the minor "concession" sold as a major one ) is rejected for a 2nd time, the options will have dwindled to hard Brexit or 2nd ref.

It seems this fact is daily being imprinted on the consciousness of MPs - and so the (upcoming amended) BRINO will most likely be voted through.

It condemns the UK to life in the slow lane while being a rule taker. Bet hey free movement has been abolished ....

At least May's deal will bring the country together again. We'll all be bremoaners.
