Are you genuinely that ******* stupid?

I think some battered spouses also have the same mindset

So you thought it would be easy to leave? Wow!

Why do Brexiters always vacillate between a superiority complex and a victim complex?

I’ll repeat: it’s not hard at all for the U.K. to leave. If you are confident of your way in the world and you are certain that you are better off out of the EU, then what is the difficulty?

So you complain about a Brexiter being in a binary state. While advocating a binary state!

It is not that simple. Unlike you.....

Here, let me show you exactly how simple it is to leave the EU:

The UK Parliament authorised Theresa May to issue notice under Article 50 that we are leaving. Theresa May issued that notice, and specified a leaving date of 29th March 2019.

Under rule of law, and regardless of anything else happening from the EU side, the UK is leaving the EU on 29th March 2019. The EU cannot stop it, and the UK can only stop it by revoking that notice.

It really is that simple to leave.

What I suspect you are talking about isn't leaving, but leaving on terms that are good enough for you, which is a different thing. "Terms" are not required to leave.

Why should I be concerned by an EU army? In fact, an EU army, given the aggression being shown by Russia at the moment, is not a bad thing. We have a UK army today, we'll continue to have a UK army, the EU army will just be akin to the UN which we also participate.

You really do have a victim mentality don't you?

We can walk away today, the EU can't stop us. Problem is, we'd get no deal; we want a deal, therefore we need to negotiate with the EU. It's not the EU stopping us from walking away today, it's our politicians who thankfully, as carp as they are, have more sense than many Brexiters and they know that a hard, cliff edge Brexit would truly feck the country.

Hit the nail on the had there. Brexiters confuse leaving, with leaving with a nice slice of cake and chomping it as they walk away. The EU can't stop us leaving, but they can search our pockets on the way out and make sure we don't get that cake, or if we do, we have to pay for it.

After 2+ years you'd think they'd have understood this by now, but still they struggle to understand what's going on.

Yes well just been watching the Beebs live coverage.

Seems like Mr Carney is predicting doom and gloom again

Like he did 2 years ago.

Interestingly the caption scrolling along the bottom of the screen was that the pound would crash, inflation soar and interest rates rise in the case of a no deal Brexit.

Half an hour later this would only happen in the case of a disorderly no deal Brexit ( when did that become a thing??)

Then it seems GDP could drop 3.9% in the next 15 years.

I'm not saying they are making it up as they go along but...
