At least it was short and to the point, unlike most of the drivel we get from the usual sockie botherers."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife. -
Indeed.Originally posted by sasguru View PostI know you're a bit slow on the uptake, but my question is: is it is really name-calling to call someone stupid (or any of of its synonyms) when the facts are that said person's statements are obviously stupid.
As an example, calling the EU a tyranny indicates the OP is stupid, since he didn't really use a dictionary before using the term "tyranny" inappropriately.
Mind you, calling CUK moderation a tyranny would be fine....

What he may be saying may be "stupid" in your eyes but that doesn't necessarily mean that OP is "Stupid".Originally posted by sasguru View PostI know you're a bit slow on the uptake, but my question is: is it is really name-calling to call someone stupid (or any of of its synonyms) when the facts are that said person's statements are obviously stupid.

For example, one may commit bêtise without being stupid oneself.Comment

So far no one has explained what kind of tyranny they experience in their daily life forced upon them by the EUComment

Well done for asking the stupidest question imaginable. The EU do not inflict "tyranny" on individuals, only on populations, particularly those which happen to disagree with their view. One wonders what they are going to do to the Italians in the coming days, perhaps they'll just enforce a government upon them again...Originally posted by Eirikur View PostSo far no one has explained what kind of tyranny they experience in their daily life forced upon them by the EUHis heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...Comment

The Commission's 24/7 Emergency Response Coordination Centre has been in constant contact with the Italian authorities to offer EU support as heavy floods have affected many parts of the country. The EU's Copernicus satellite mapping service has been activated, at the request of the national authorities, for the affected areas in Sicily and Veneto. Today in Brussels, Commissioner Stylianides is meeting with Mr Agostino Miozzo, Director of the Office promotion and integration of the national service of the Italian Civil Protection Department to discuss the current emergency in Italy. “We stand in solidarity with the Italian people and authorities at this difficult time. Our thoughts are with the victims and all those affected by the deadly floods as well as with the first responders working tirelessly on the ground. The EU has mobilised its satellite mapping service to help the national authorities. We are ready to provide more support if requested”, said Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Stylianides. Photos of the Emergency Centre are available, as well as a video of the EU's Copernicus programme and a factsheet on the EU's emergency centre. Next thing we know, you'll be saying that just because you post antisemitic views, it doesn't follow that you're an antisemite.Originally posted by Zigenare View PostWhat he may be saying may be "stupid" in your eyes but that doesn't necessarily mean that OP is "Stupid".

As you're no doubt aware, I was referring to the illegal (in the eyes of the EU) budget they're about to pass. Nice duckingOriginally posted by darmstadt View PostThis probably:
