NI is a terrible drag on the British Economy. I know most of the rest of the UK is a well but NI is nothing but very expensive trouble. It's full of either British-haters or British-loyalists who insist on behaving in an entirely un-British way. I bet there are a lot of politicians who secretly would like to get shot of it. However I suspect Ireland has neither the money nor the inclination to get involved.Originally posted by TestMangler View PostWhat a fu**in' spunktrumpet though."Don't part with your illusions; when they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live" Mark TwainComment

You mean "un-British" in the sense that they would be inclined to ignore political mandates?Originally posted by Cirrus View PostIt's full of either British-haters or British-loyalists who insist on behaving in an entirely un-British way.
There seem to be plenty of those all across the islands, not just NI.
In common parlance, they have come to be known as "Bremoaners".
