On the contrary. I worked in India in the 1990s and took my family out there with me. My 4 sons all attended schools out there.
Their approach was old-fashioned by our standards but was also very effective, focusing on the three R's much more at that time than schools in this country did.
It broadened their minds, and produced very good results bearing in mind it was relatively poorly resourced by western terms.
So to recap, unlike you I actually have some experience of the topic in hand.
Now jog on and see if you can find a thread where they talk at length about watching the porn channels in your hotel room......I am sure you can bring much more to the table there.
So you lived in an expat bubble and sent your kids to a private school 25 years ago and claim you know everything about their education system. You should have moved around a bit and see how the 99.9% of Indians live

I never claimed to know "everything about their education system". I only claimed to know more about it than you. And on the evidence here that is a justifiable claim.
I did not live exclusively in an "expat bubble" either, but worked alongside many Indian locals in rolling out a mobile phone network in Calcutta and the surrounding area.
Near the end of the war Waffen SS had conscripts too, guess your knowledge of history is as good as everything else that you know, which as we all can see here is not a lot

Given what the Russian army did to a load of pretty much innocent German civilians when they finally marched into Germany and onto Berlin I would probably suggest staying out of this one.

shaun’s point is that I somehow was obligated to serve Russian war criminals and take part in war crimes that took place in Chechnya, all that just because the conscription laws required it, as long as the law demands it, then it’s ok in his book

You are an expert at digging when you are at the bottom of a hole. Let's face it, when it comes to manning up you are definitely at the rear of the queue.
Be honest, your preferred instinct in any given situation seems to be "run away".
You even championed that course of action in the Colombian Hostages thread, droning on and on about how you would take off into the unmapped undergrowth at the first hint of an opportunity. Even though history showed it was the wrong thing to do.
Much more of a "Flight" rather than "Fight" sort of a guy ain't ya?
That's okay..............I am sure you'd make an excellent contribution to the Concert Party..........you'd make an excellent Dobby in Harry Potter performances!
“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”
So according to shaunbhoy I should have joined the Russian army and commited war crimes in Chechnya by killing civilians, then it would have been ok for me to move to Britain
Don't rise to him AtW, he's a little child with his name calling and just trolls to get people to bite. For me it's more cowardly to blindly follow orders if those orders are immoral and unethical rather than standing up for what you believe. I'm guessing, although having never been in your shoes I can only guess, that the decision to not follow those kinds of orders and actually uproot and head to another country is much more difficult than taking the easy route and going with the rest of the sheeple. But then the only orders he's followed is how many potatoes to peel.
It's also interesting he says he was building mobile phone networks 25 years ago in India given the very first mobile phone call was only 23 years ago (On this day 20 years ago, the first mobile phone call was made in India - News18). He really was ahead of his time (or maybe he's talking bull). Will be interesting what story he makes up next .... maybe he also helped to build the Taj Mahal or was an advisor to Ghandi
