1) Do you want to stay as part of the EU while it develops its own political wing and Army. An organisation that wants to grow by acquiring more countries with cheap labour (even if it upsets the Russians). Where the major players are encouraging economic migrants to move to Europe and camp out at Camp Calais waiting for the first available lorry. Plus other stuff we have no idea about.

How is it protection money? We are paying for the benefits of being in the club. If we don't want to pay for any of these benefits going forward we can crash out with no deal and we won't have to pay. If we want to continue to receive benefits then we will have to pay something. And given it will cost us as a nation more to not be in the club than it costs us to be in the club, I would have thought it is good value for money. No?

The point I was trying to make is that you are saying we should stay in and continue to pay in and get less out because it is better than being out.

But the reason you say it is better than being out is because look at all the things we get when we stay in.

And I am not sure in this instance better the devil you know was a a good option.

2) I don't like Europe so can I leave the EU?

1) Do you want to stay where you are?
or
2) Do you want to leave where you are and go to some totally undefined (and unimaginable) place that we haven't got the faintest idea about because we don't know anything about what we're saying and we have told everybody else not to do any thinking/research/planning whatsoever? And we might press the button years before anybody has a chance of building a survival plan.

I had/have reservations about the EU and initially thought I would vote Leave. But that only lasted about 100 milliseconds before I noticed there was absolutely no viable scenario being described. The objection is not about whether it's a nice idea to be in or out of Europe. The objection is people voted for a ridiculous proposition. If you don't like the EU and you want to do something different then that's a choice you have a right to. What you Brexiteers didn't have a right to do was vote to destroy the country just because you were too thick and lazy to think things through and realise what was being offerred was complete nonsense.
