Why the fook this should even possibly happen, can't a UK citizen have a UK bank account whilst living in the USA?
That is the point. It WON'T happen..............it is just another ridiculous throwaway remark from an increasingly embattled Project Fear HQ.
And nor will most of the other ridiculous scaremongering suggestions come to pass either.

People need to chill the fook out a bit. It is in nobody's best interests (save for a few megalomaniac Brussels-based Politicos who are desperately trying to cling onto more power than they deserve or need!) for anything but an amicable trading arrangement to be implemented. And that is why that WILL be the outcome.

Honestly..............if mindless panicking were to be introduced as an Olympic event we'd be nailed on to fill the podium.

Instead of whining in an internet forum, why don't you both actually read the notices?

FFS, that's the reason we're in this mess, you're reading headline statements in the media and extrapolating them into either the worst case scenario (ATW) or "nothing to see here, everything will be fine, keep your heads in the sand" (SB).

It won't happen because Lawson and Lord Voldemere, while hating the EU, will make sure they still get to live in it and enjoy their banking and pension.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

The most interesting thing that came out of this batch of 'No Deal' reports, is the fact that a lot of sperm is imported from Denmark. I mean, you would never have guessed it from some of the people on here, but Britain is short of *******...

(BTW, does that mean the children who were born from this sperm are immigrants?)
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Pension companies clearly haven’t got the memo about not worrying, everything will be okay....

No, fook that - I want to sleep well at night

Can’t see any valid reason to lose online access to a UK bank - the branches (if they have any) might not be able to work, but cash machines should work since they cards are nirmally Visa/Mastercard (though costs will be higher)

Which is why I suggested reading the notices instead of the headline.

                  https://www.gov.uk/government/public...no-brexit-deal

The notice doesn’t mention at all being unable to access your online banking account. It relates to services being provided by U.K. banks to EEA citizens and U.K. residents in the EU - insurance, offshore mortgages, pensions, etc.

So, if you’re living it large in your French chateau or Spanish casa with your mortgage and insurance being provided by a U.K. bank then you might find your services are being ported to a new EU subsidiary of that bank (or, worst case scenario, you lose access to them and need to find local replacements).
