But well done anyway for starting to moving on.
Where have I blamed anyone for the failure of Brexit (despite it not happening yet)?
Let's see if you evade those questions...

Originally posted by Bean View PostIs Verhofstadt a cretin, (since he is blaming the EU for Brexit)?
He said that the Brexit decision was a failure of the EU.
He also said that it has made the EU move forward to debate reform.
He did not say "the EU is to blame for Brexit"
How could he? As you rightly say, Brexit has not happened yet.
It's only 2 years since Article 50 was due to be invoked, so let's wait until the great day that Brexit becomes a reality.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Here's what Verhofstadt said:
I still look to the Brexit decision as a failure of the EU, because if an important country like the UK is breaking away from the EU it's difficult to say, 'Oh it's a success, fantastic.'
I don't look at the outcome of the referendum in that way - I think it's a failure.
What we have seen in the continent - if I may say so - is that after Brexit, the European project regained popularity. In the sense of, 'Okay - maybe there are a lot of things that don't work very well in the EU, but to break away, maybe that's not the right solution.'
So in that sense, since Brexit there has been more debate on reform of the EU than we ever got before. That's caused by Brexit.
But I still find the fact that Britain is going out of the EU a bad thing for Europe, for Britain, and I think for everybody.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Your comments on the 2nd question, show that Old Smeg wouldn't be able to point out an example.Originally posted by Old GregI admit I'm just a lazy, lying cretinous hypocrite and must be going deaf♕Keep calm & carry on♕Comment
