Merkel's Bavarian ally threatens mutiny on migrants

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-44614735

Three years after the refugee crisis, the issue of migration here still drowns out all the others.

Is the EU migrant crisis worse than the US migrant crisis?

      US migrant crisis

The UK will still have a migrant crisis after Brexit.
      I'm alright Jack

Ah, the CSU...AfD Lite or for the UK, the German UKIP. They're only in Bayern amd everyone outside thinks they're pig ******* Lederhosen wearing inbreds although I think they probably appeal to the right wingers on here who seem to want to see the rise of the right in Europe
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

because a discussion about German politics, with specific regard to migration and the issue of it, will inevitably head towards someone mentioning Brexit.

TL;Dr - Saving the mods the effort of moving it, once someone mentions Brexit.

Spot-on, specifically foreigner getting into Germany, with which, the CSU has a major issue with.

              Well done you.

Do you advocate an "open door" policy with regards to immigration?
Old Greg - In search of acceptance since Mar 2007. Hoping each leap will be his last.

It works fine within the EU, especially when as part of a broader package that includes free movement of labour, the UK gets single market access to the EU for goods and services.. The UK could always sharpen things up so it's about free movement of labour and not just any person.
