This is exactly what happened for the US-Australia trade deal.

Any deal with the US will include it, as well as whole load of other unpalatable stuff.

After the trade deal the US ended up with a huge trade surplus with Australia. It will also mean that EU imports will get shut out with the obvious consequences for UK EU exports.
