They do both quote varying quality of evidence for a rise in mortality among the elderly, but "cold hard facts and data" are in short supply, particularly in the second source. It appears you're struggling with the fact that old people will eventually die, and if there are more old people, the mortality rate will rise. There's a statistical term for this which I can't be arsed to look up as I'd have to explain it to you afterwards. And I'm not sure I can be arsed to live long enough to do that...

Here's a hint, from my second link - i know it'll be hard for you but do try and parse it:

They key is in the fact that a rate is not an absolute value.
