So having being wiped out once, they'll go for it again because it was such a good experience ?

Three Brexiteers in discussion with Norway

Of course they're not really discussing how Britain will be like Norway because as we know Britain will be aiming for a "Hard Brexit" and have a deal similar to Canada.

Forget about HMG, it's the EU that wants it nice and hard.

Hold the press, the guardian is reporting that the EU's chief brexit negotiator might make his first announcement; to announce he has nothing to say until A50.

EU negotiator Barnier favours a transitional deal:

                https://www.theguardian.com/politics...b049350cc9670a

Q: Are you in principle in favour of a transitional arrangement?

Barnier says this would be useful it it were the path towards a new relationship.

But we need to know what what the perspective would be.

He says third countries, like EEA members, might be affected.

Norway and Iceland are examples of how a transitional arrangement could operate.

Norway has access to the single market, but pays for it, he says.
Looks like it will be the only sensible alternative on the table given the tight timetable.

We could be out by October 18.

                  That would be good.

The negotiations will be over. The deal then needs several months for ratification by all EU member states.

That's the foreseen deadline for end of negotiations, not for being out of Europe. Do try to understand what you read.
