Just had a cold call from these geezers...

Warning shot across the bows, since they are trawling the Job Boards.

Anyone on here using them / heard of them?
I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

Not them, but have had several aggressive calls from BFP-UK, who claim to be associated with Darwin. Latest scam seems to be to invoice you and lend you the cash back, rather than make you en employee. That's bound to work then. Mr Venables says its going to be ok.

Could you introduce me. I'm sure the directors will be confident enough to provide a personal guarantee against their personal house and pension if their "No tax headaches" were to go wrong...

      I will report back....

Their website states 'We offer our clients reassurance around the robustness of our strategy as it has been developed with top Tax QC Robert Venables.' That geezer gets around, wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!!

On another note with all of the press about Loans/EBTs, paying HMRC the disputed amounts before the case is dealt with etc, how do any of these companies hope to get contractors to sign up to these dodgy schemes in the current climate?

There are still a lot of uneducated (in a tax sense) people out there that get easily taken in by the sales people on the other end of the phone who convince them that 90% is perfectly above board (which it may or may not be) with no risk (which it most certainly isn't).

And there will always be some people that will just chase the money...........

True, I guess they are looking for new contractors mainly as fresh meat is easier that trying to convince existing contractors with Ltd's to close down and go with them...
