I haven't been able to start it on Windows 8.

Works fine for me on W8 as does the previous version - no issues running it at all.

Edit:- That's W8 64bit BTW

This was the Mac version.

I can run it on a Windows 7 32 bit machine but not on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.

Same on Linux, they've compiled it for 32bit so need to install ia32lib package on Debian based 64bit distros. Seems to all run quite nicely once that's sorted.

My Windows 8 is 64 bit. Might be the problem.

Yes the latest version released this week now works on my Win7 64 bit machine.
