working for client of client

My Ltd co has recently finished a contract with a client. In the terms of the contract it says that you cannot go and work for any of the clients customers for a period of 6 months.
Any idea how much they can enforce this?

If they have 100 customers and I worked on a project for one of those customers, am I blocked for engaging in a contract with the other 99 (even though I have no knowledge of those projects)?

Part of the due diligence when signing, I'm afraid. For example, whenever I get a restriction on working for any part of a large group, e.g. RBS, I have it removed, as that rules out about 50% of potential clients
