Well, first time it's happened. I turned the gig down after getting an offer.
When it came to getting the scope of work agreed in writing after interview the client wasn't interested. They wanted me to move me around doing various tasks as they saw fit. They weren't even interested in having something as vague as "Maintains, updates and bug fixes X".
I'd be expected to "muck in" with the rest of the "team"
Not sure I went about it the right way though. I cited my reasons for defining scope as not wanting to be under D&C with regards to IR35, probably should have said some business reason such as my insurances would be invalid, etc. Mind you, moments earlier they mentioned that they weren't interested in me having any PI insurance.
It's probably for the best that this was bought up before I started on site
