    Granny care - tax deductible?

I'm guessing the answer is "no", but is paying for a carer for an elderly parent is tax deductible?

I doubt it but are you getting everything you should be getting? Find your local age concern centre and see if one of their local advisers can check what your parent is entitled to.

          No, it won't be deductible.

Yes, speak to Age Concern. They have good people.

If she needs tax advice and has income less than £16,000 then Tax Help Older People,TOP, run free clinics and home visits using local volunteers. I do a half day or so for them a month, very, very rewarding use of time, and normally get tea and cake on my home visits
