It's definitely refreshing to see a politician stand by his principles. I wish the same could be said of Gauke.

Probably because he has held down real responsibility (RAF) and provided real services (S/w Consultant).

Baker just raised a point saying he was keen to move things along to avoid NC1 being talked out. Someone else stated that it was the government's request to move NC4 before NC1.

Yeah, he actually mentioned it right at the beginning and questionned the rejigging. Good on him. fingers crossed.

I think he means that powerful individuals are capable of acting out of sh1tty, callous, self-interest - even when they're claiming to be on a virtuous moral crusade.
