New donation made, invite sent
I'm running behind a little but got round there in the end...
New donation made to the campaign (keep up the fantastic work all!) and an invitation has been sent to David Nuttall MP (Conservative, Bury North) in respect of the briefing event on January 8th.
I'll update both the forum and Whitehouse when any reply is received.Comment

So far no response to my email to my MP - not even an acknowledgement.
I think its time to send a chaser to be followed up by a phone call.Comment

Have sent a few emails to my MP over the last year and though I've received a response each time it's always been from a secretary or researcher. Just had a response from the man himself, will be unable to attend due to minsterial duties but will be writing to Mr Gauke.
My MP has recently been appointed Financial Secretary to the Treasury. Viewed optimistically, he's begun to take a personal interest and is more senior in the Treasury than a certain Exchequer Secretary who seems unsure of his principles.
I'll take any crumbs of comfort I can....Comment

Positive response from MP
Just received the following response from my MP - upbeat and positive I believe, and a timely reply given I only sent the invitation this morning:
Dear [honeyridges]
Thank-you for your email.
I appreciate how much this matter means to you. The meeting you refer to will take place whilst business is taking place in the main Chamber and in Westminster Hall and as yet it has not been announced what that business will be. Subject to my Parliamentary engagements I will certainly try and attend the meeting on your behalf.
Yours sincerely,
David Nuttall MPComment

Night time Reading
Dug up some articles last night which may be of interest to us all. Not seen them mentioned on the site before.
The first one heavily analyzes our case.
