We have all the evidence that HMRC misled a Government minister in 2008. It is clear that they are now trying to cover their tracks by doing the same with Gauke. Does that not constitute conspiracy to pervert the course of justice? In terms of misleading Parliament, Gauke is responsible for his HMRC minions and so would be culpable...seems a bit daft really when it didn't even happen on his watch and yet he continues to rattle out the old deceit.

It is clear from recent utterings that his principles can be purchased for the perceived benefit of some additional revenue for the Exchequer. What bothers me most is that people were duped to elect someone like that to act as their MP.
Perhaps this needs to go before the commons standards committee. The 3 who are up today have been accused of misleading Parliament. I wonder just how long the people responsible will be able to keep dodging the bullets.

        Misleading a Minister

HMRC misled a Minister who in turn failed to provide the Parliamentary Committee with sufficient information on which to make a safe decision regarding the proposed change in legislation.

Plenty of wiggle room there for everyone to get off the hook.

Unfortunately the two main pressures on government today appear to be:
1: Avoid embarrassment, by maintaining the Gauke propaganda, ensuring the facts remain lost in history.
2: Salivation at the prospect of raising a £200m windfall from backdating the law.

This strategy can only work if we give up and walk away. They haven't realised that for many we are in it to the death.

With the evidence we have I wonder what mileage we would all have in going legal, I for one would be up for putting into a legal campaign and bring those liars to court. After all, this isn't just money, this is a personal attack on our livelihoods and futures for our children.

I have a meeting with my MP on Fiday night.

            HELP!

I have printed off A001 - what else do I need? More importantly what do I want my MP to do?

Sorry for such stupid questions - this stuff is really doing my head in. Well the prospect of bankruptcy and the effect it will have on my kids (2 disabled) is doiung my head in.

Apart from leaving my baseball bat at home, any other tips?

I believe the legal angle is being pursued by MontP. We are pursuing the Parliamentary angle in parallel.

On That subject has anyone heard anything from MontP or HMRC about the next steps. Why are HMRC taking so long to take this to the next stage.

Not that I'm complaining I just think it is strange.

Brown letters will probably arrive just before the long weekend for the Jubilee, dated a week earlier, and using the extra bank holidays to eat into appeal time.
