It's good to see that HMRC's attempted power-grab does occasionally reach limits...

HMRC will not simply be able to open a discovery assessment if an investigation opportunity has fallen out of the 12-month window, according to an upper tribunal ruling.

My MP has since told me that there is nothing more he can do to support but I'm keen to go back and challenge again. Today's NTRT newsletter made reference to another tool kit but I can't find it on the NTRT site. Can somebody point my in the right direction of what the follow up action should be ?

I have been banging on at my MP for over a year now for a meet at Westminster or his surgery. This guy is a fresh out of the box brand new Tory with a slim majority and a gravy train to protect.
He has responded to my letters and emails with increasingly irritated responses. Yesterday I resorted to calling his Westminster office, which appears field all calls with a voice mail capture. All that generated was an email response saying (in essence) '**** off and stop wasting my time'.

Jeez - I'm angry!!

He doesn't hold surgeries?

Is there a body you can complain to that your MP refuses to meet you or are they totally autonomous on such issues?
