MoD clearance - Can unspent convictions cause a denial

Hi , I have unspent conviction for battery and I had informed my security officer . Now I am in
the process of changing the job to Mod(ministry of defense) client so this means my security clearance needs to be transferred again .

I understand there will further checks done and this will again flag up when the new company does the searches .

My SC is still valid as I have informed my current employer .

Can anyone tell me please if someone has experienced problems or denial in security clearance transfer especially with Mod if he/she has unspent convictions even for a minor thing as battery .

It's not the crime, unless you're convicted for fraud or espionage, in which case you would never have got clearance in the first place. As long as you've declared everything, why wuold there be a problem? And if there is, then you're out of both jobs and there's not a lot you can do about it anyway.

Although I have some doubts about someone thinking battery is a minor misdemeanour...
