You are talking to someone who spent 6 years doing an OU degree and got 2 years in to an OU MBA

Bit off-topic, but I'd like to know what you thought of the OU MBA - I've often considered it.

Language lessons are one example which I'm pretty sure we would have argued would fail the "wholly and exclusively" test.

Well I use my language skills wholly and exclusively for the business, VBA and C#.

I did the first two years and got the Professional Certificate but it is very expensive so not something you would take on a whim.

It doesn't seem to have made much different to my career to be fair.

Perhaps. I don't think MBAs are particularly useful in finding work in the UK (the US is a different matter). I have an MBA but I did it for the 'fun' rather than the career opportunities...
