If you cannot disclose the exact magic spell cast upon your beans, are you able to guarantee a full refund should they fail to germinate?

Otherwise, how can we judge the level of risk we are taking by signing up with you?

Anyone interested in joining is made fully aware of the finer detail and all the component parts involved, they also get sight of the legal opinion which we have from one on the UK's most highly regarded tax counsels, as i mentioned earlier we also insure against any professional fees legal and accountancy arrising from an investigation from HMRC. As for the disclaimer mentioned in a previous post we never tell prospective clients that the scheme is enirely risk free merely give them the facts and let them decide. I obviously can't speak for other providers on this issue only how we operate.

Geoff, perhaps you could explain how you think that the new legislation introduced does not apply to your company - the document states quite clearly that any EBT loan scheme will fall under the provision if the purpose of the structure involved is for nothing other than tax avoidance

Well excuse me for pointing out the bleedin' obvious, but it's not an EBT scheme. Morning Lisa by the way.

Morning Vallah. Not in name maybe - I believe it is referred to as a contractor trust - but I think an employment lawyer may take a different view of the scheme's structure

I don't think you've quite grasped the (not so) subtle shift in product offerings. It can't be an EBT, because the "E" doesn't apply any more.

And if the "E" is a deemed E?

It can't be. An EBT is a trust for the benefit of the employees of a specific company. If there isn't a company employing anybody, then you can't set up an EBT.

If loads of schemes go down this "non E" route, HMRC might be a bit cross...
