    Contacted over complaint against HMRC

Got a phone call today from a private company, forget name, about a complaint I had supposedly made against HMRC.

I said I had no idea what they were talking about but after I put the phone down I thought it might be summit to do with a letter I sent to my MP at least a year ago about continual changes to online systems including the introduction of the Adobe-based CT submission system and some other unecessary wastes of our time.

Anyone know what this might be about? Some consultants tasked with looking at tax simplification? Or have HMRC hired the Mafia to avenge their honour? Will I be found with "self inflicted" wrist wounds in a wood somewhere?

Ignore it - if this was a genuine call they should ring back. Then get their details and check them out to see if they were genuine or not.
