    Expenses query: Recorded delivery costs

Quickie: Do you expense recorded delivery postage costs?

There have probably been half a dozen times I have sent business letters via recorded delivery and never expensed the cost.

I use stamps that have been expensed but not expensed the cost of the recorded delivery service.

Yes - if it's a business expense, then claim it.

Bear in mind that the standard post office receipts are not VAT receipts if you require one.
If you have to add a , it isn't funny. HTH. LOL.

There is no VAT on stamps. Postage when supplied by Royal Mail is VAT exempt.

If your business sells goods in parcels i.e. Postage & Packing to other businesses/consumers talk to your accountant.

I haven't claimed mine from previous 2 years. I know I should, but I'd become too lazy to claim the costs of stamps. I might start doing it from my next contract onwards though.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.
