    Brookson Accountants

Can someone please advise me on how I can get a senior manager/director at Brookson Accountants to listen and help resolve my problems or what I can do in the absence of Brookson?

My issue is that I have had a nightmare dealing with Brookson and I am so desperate I have had to book time off work to seek advice from the Citizens Advice beaureau even though I pay Brookson as my accountants. I gota a tax demand from HMRC a couple of weeks ago out of the blue for nearly £16K which is accumulating interest of £1.30 a day, this was followed by a penalty notice of £375 for late filing of corporaton tax and then another £100 from HMRC for the same late filing. I paid corporation tax Brookson said I owed back in January and am not sure what this tax relates to and Brookson will not tell me even though I have sent them all the paper work.

I leave in dread everyday wondering what else HMRC will hit me with. I have tried contacting Brookson so many times and everytime I get the standard answer that my issue has been passed on to their Admin Department. Not once have I been contacted by this Admin Department. No one can tell me what is going on. Is any one else experiencing this?

    Someone please HELP!!!!

Based on recent posting, the best advice would appear to be to get out as fast as you can.

Perhaps get Brookson to close your company and start again with an accountant who knows how to answer a phone/email.

The wheel does seem to have come off the Brookson cart!
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero

I'm not so sure that the wheels were ever firmly attached from what I've been told over the years.
