software to do CT600?

Hello,

Is there any software out there to create corporation tax returns? I know a lot of people use accounting packages like Sage, Quickbooks, etc, but this seems to be for all the other stuff. Why not CT600 too?

Seems like a gap in the market...

This may seem like a dumbass answer. In all of the years I've been LTD I've never done my Corporation tax return. I do all my VAT etc everything else, but once a year I pay my accountant to compile my accounts & do the final P&L & Corporation Tax.

So based on my experience is the market just accountants? or do others do their own?

Dunno, my accountant does mine, I just check it, sign it and send it back..

There are lots of software packages that produce CT returns, although if you're purely doing one return a year they may not be cost effective.

Check out PTP software for a start.

I just use the one provided by HMRC after logging on to "do it online" on the HMRC website, going to the corporation tax section and filling in their online form.
