I think that the OP only did 1 day last week rather than doing 1 day every week. Although it's far from clear...

£57/day seems a pretty low rate to me anyway.

I am bit confused...

National Min wage (5.80) * 8 hours = £46.40 a day
28.50 * 2 = £57 a day

OK ok I know one is probably gross and one net blahdy blah but hell thats low for a 1 day a week contract isn't it?

I didn't work full hours that day and it was my first day with the contract. Tbh I've just left college and was trying to get some experience down on my CV for a perm. job. But I'm liking the look of this contracting, so any mistakes I make now at least it will just be a lesson learnt.
