Been mentioned a lot in the past so am sure a search will bring plenty of reading material for you.

Cheers .. couldn't find the search bar to do that in the first place but on closer inspection I've found it and there is plenty of info... all sounds good too so that's my mind made up.

          Your welcome.

Just a quick tip to proactively save you some time as well. Do a search for expenses and have a look at the many many posts on this as they can be very interesting (well some of them!! )

Nixon and his co-horts all probably provide a very good service but often fall short of peoples expectation when it comes to proactive accountancy. Old heads get used to it and make it a point to clue themselves up anyway but do NOT rely on any accountant to educate you on what you can/can't claim and this type of thing. Best do that yourself and get them to check..

There are some great little loopholes like the xmas meal threads and the like to read about that your accountant will never mention..

          Enjoy!!

I hear what you're saying, but to be fair on NW I think that is true of other number bods too.

I use NW and am generally happy with what they do for me, although I only really rely on them now for payroll + corp tax calculations and year end accounts - the rest I could manage myself. My only gripe is their claim of "leave it all to us" in their marketing bumpf which I think is misleading.

My apologies. I might have used the wrong word. To be open and fair what I meant when I said co-horts I mean all the other accountants that are mentioned here and infact every accountant you can find I guess.

              Didn't want to seem biased.

I personally wouldn't touch them (again) with a a barge pole but others use them and are satisfied. Do a search and you'll see lots of threads with the pros and cons.
