Of course there is no definition of a fair share but there is such a thing as the average amount of tax.

Lets take the total tax take, (all tax including NI corporation inheritance tax etc) that is just under £400,000 million.

Total adult population about 50 million.

To save you getting you calculator out that's about £8,000 per adult. Now that what I call a fair share.

Anything over is more than a fair share, wouldn't you say.

Well my annual contribution to the UK coffers is way way in excess of that. So how woul;d Justice Parekr answer that question.
Very good point Seadog. If we want to get pedantic, thats how "fair share" should be defined.

As I've said before, I've paid my "fair share" of tax 4 times over. Thats the number of times I have moved and paid extortionate amounts of stamp duty.

The truth is there is no such thing as a fair share. Multinational companies dont pay their fair share, because they channel money from one subsidary to another. MPs certainly dont pay their fair share, too busy sticking their snouts in the expenses trough. BBC journalists & celebrities don't pay their fair share either, it is well known they use tax avoidance schemes too.

The term "fair share" has been completely redefined by New Liebour, beyond recognition.
I blame Harriot Harperson, after all she wants to do away with the word "chairman".

Wow! Hector, if you're reading this, where do I apply?

          EDIT:

Hang on a minute, this guy went bankrupt and he gets to keep his "plush" villa.

Last night Bowering refused to comment at his plush £345,000 villa in Livingston.

I may phone him for advice.

            Good luck!
How many of those cases lead to HMRC losing...?

But of course, we wouldnt want to accuse the judiciary of being corrupt, or would we?

To be honest; I think its just a simple case of bad luck in so far as Parker's personal moral compass got in the way of the objective judgement.....

All going well next time, the odds are in our favour

Coincidently, todays newspapers had a case where the Judge was told what to do by govt. ministers:

Judges persuaded to curtail MI5 criticism
                    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle7021976.ece

"The Foreign Secretary persuaded senior judges to erase “exceptionally damning criticism” of MI5 from their ruling yesterday detailing the Security Service’s complicity in the torture of Binyam Mohamed."

I think we can agree some of this country's judges are corrupt.

The judge in question on this case was actually 'tricked' by the government and, when it all came to light, he retracted his removal. Criticism for the govt was universally damning; they had apparently over-ridden 400 years of case law and legal precedent.

Seem to like doing that a lot lately, don't they?
