      Absolutely shocked...but not surprised

They are a law to themselves, really gutted and now face losing the house and every penny I've got

I agree, wouldnt be suprised if the bailiffs come round within weeks.

This is my first time in a court and Im gopbsmacked just how quickly the Judge deliverd, said no to our appeal and then left.

Surely we deserve an explanation as to why he thought Taxation using a flipping time Machine was morally correct !

        Speechless.
and he seemed like a nice guy, with his head in the right place. In my mind, he hasn't understood the broader ramifications of this.
I'm off to spend all my money now - now way I'm handing it over to those crooks.

to not give one is a disgrace. Surely he has to summarise his verdict. Definately got at.

            What next?

After all the seemingly positive arguments I would have at least expected some kind of reasoning from the judge. I have no idea what to do now, save depression medication and alcohol (while I still have a home to go to). I am really looking forward to explaining this to my children given that I barely understand how we got here myself.

Does anyone have any insight that can help?

              So, whats next .... ?

So presumably now the negotiations start with HMRC with a view to somekind of deal/payment terms ?

Will we be left to handle this on our own or will MP assist ?

Stunned. A truly unbelievable result. All I can think now is that if the fight continues, we will have more worried people lining up behind us. I'm shocked.

                  What happens now?

I am stunned by the utter injustice of it. Cannot believe it!

How soon before we can expect anything from MTM?

Well I hate conspiracy theories, but how on earth can this possibly be? Just utterly shocked and numb to the core. There must be another avenue to fight this, surely. Feel utterly destroyed by this. My sympathies to all those feeling the same.

PS: HMRC - go to hell !!!
Lord Clyde in 1929: ‘No man is under the smallest obligation, moral or other, so to arrange his legal relations to his business or to his property as to enable the Revenue to put the largest possible shovel into his stores. The Revenue is not slow to take every advantage which is open to it under the taxing statutes for the purpose of depleting the taxpayer’s pocket. And the taxpayer is entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Revenue.’

Well - they aren't getting anything from me on account of I haven't got anything.
