    'Salary package' an alternative?

Does anyone have experiences with them:
    http://www.ics.me.uk/salary-package

How do they work? I am currently a little torn, since I have a (fairly well-paid) short-term contract (only two or three months) with a client from overseas (would be most definitely outside IR35). Forming an LTD doesn't seem too clever, since I plan to go permanent after these few months, but using an Umbrella in my circumstances could be considered absolute madness (my "take home percentage" would be around 55%).

    Suggestions are more than welcome!

If there was an easy, legal, risk-free way of getting 82% return, do you think that anyone would be operating through an umbrella or their own Ltd?

I have no idea how they claim to be able to do it, nor do I want to know, to be honest.

Give them a ring on their freephone number, and see what they say. Of course, if it's all straightforward, they will have no qualms about indemnifying you personally in the event of any investigation into your tax affairs relating to the scheme.

If it looks too good to be true, then it is.

its just an umbrella with a different wrapper

looks like the 'periodic discretonary awards in a tax efficent manner' would hint at some form of ebt or similar.

avoid like a disease ridden ho

True, that's exactly what I thought. Thanks for your replies.
So what next, I guess the only available alternatives are Umbrellas or an LTD? Does it make sense to form an LTD only for a few months (again, my client is overseas and I would be outside IR35)?

Any general suggestions for short-term contracting?
