HMRC £75 On line filing incentive

HMRC were offering £75 if my Ltd filed its Employer Annual Return (P35) online by 19 May 2009.

This was duly done but since then, there has been no sign of the £75 in my business bank a/c.

Anyway, chased my accountant who advised I can choose to:

    1) have it deducted from my next PAYE/NI payment or
    2) request a cheque from HMRC

Sound right? I thought HMRC would automatically pay this into your business bank a/c once your P35 was filed.

I wrote to HMRC asking for the refund, which they duly did.
Note through, all directors must sign the letter otherwise HMRC will not pay.
    HTH.

How was it paid to you? By cheque?

When you file the P35 online you'll get sent an email (into your IR secure mail box) saying you've got two choices mentioned by your accountant. I went for the 75 cheque option and just had to phone them up and request it.

          My accountant filed the P35.

Hence, I do not have the above facility.

Simplest thing to do, which I did (as my former accountants filed my last P35) is to ring HMRC, confirm you have been awarded the on-ine filing incentive and that its ok for you to deduct it from your next payment. They should say yes, and that's all you do. Simple.
