Nope, sorry. I have no personal experience of any contract vetting outfits. Try starting a thread asking for one. -
Bottom line is you are stcuk with your current contract unless you either walk away and lose all monies due to date, walk away and get sued or walk away in line with the contract you (haven't) signed. I suggest you find out what the termination rules are and stick to them. At the earliest opportunity, get out and start again. And be prepared to write this off to experience, since you are now unlikely to make any money out of it.
If you go umbrella, I'd suggest you go Parasol or Giant, who are big and comfortable and have reputations to maintain. I'd also suggest you do a lot of reading both here and on www.pcg.org.uk .
And yes, it was a cheap pot shot, but I am a professional and hate seeing amateurs making amateur (and blindingly obvious) mistakes when all the necessary information is there for free, so I'm not apologising. Think about it - if the IOM offshore deal is such a profitable and totally legal move, why do we all keep insisting people use UK Limited Companies as the preferred vehicle? Perhaps we're all wrong then...
OK, you've made a big mistake. Time to learn and move on.Blog? What blog...?

Ok
Well thanks for the advice thus far
I have checked with the agency and they've not received any invoices or paid any monies for my work so far.
I have also sent a mail to Steed informing them I have decided against entering into a relationship/agreement with themselves due to the financial implications it raises for myself in the future.
So I'll see what happens!Comment

Flinty, you're still thinking like a rube and not a pro. Forget email. Emails disappear or never get read every day. Write them a letter, keep a copy, and send it registered post, guaranteed next day delivery. As soon as it arrives, phone them and tell them. Use a phone call recording service for added security. These guys are borderline crooks peddling dodgy tax schemes to the unwary - you need to pull yourself together or you will be taken for a ride.Originally posted by FlintyWell thanks for the advice thus far

I can’t urge you strongly enough. Do not compound your current problems by choosing Giant as your next umbrella.Comment

Planetit - Any alternative suggestions/recommendations.
LB - I will follow it up with written confirmation and a phone call. Not sure where to find telephone recording services from, but will look into it, thanks.Comment

Steed
Just spoken to Steed and they were perfectly happy for me to go elsewhere, so I will sort out something, whether it be umbrella or LtdCo.
Thanks again for all the help, not to mention the pot shots
