    Claiming fo trip abroad

I recently started working at a French company on contract through ltd

Cam I claim a trip to France that I did last week an one in July as a valid expense???

I guess I was there learning French and trying to get a feel or the Market to make sure I was being paid correctly

Is this a valid expense. Can I claim it??

Sounds valid to me. Interview cost and market research for this role, right. Some twunts on here might not like it, but I'd certainly bung it in.

Will they ask for evidence of interview in France?? Can they ask for it?

Or the fact tht it is a French company an I went there a few times makes valid sense?

I'd say so long as it wasn't obviously a holiday trip rather than a business one that there should be no issues.

Hell yes stick it in. At the end of the day you only need to worry about it if you get investigated and there are a long list of totally valid reasons to go prior to work. Due diligence, Market Research, Lead Gathernig you name it. All valid reasons to be somewhere that don't have much documentable output.

The only thing I would say and I am sure this is so obvious some one will flame me for it. Just be diligent with what receipts you put in, food, travel, accomodation good!! Museums, beer, swimming with dolphins bad!! (last comment might mean something if people have been watching the news )

            Go for it.
