Looks like the first on the list is for some kind of direction ie they will be over and done with in a few minutes - we had one of those at the last Hearing.

I have spoken to our legal team and the Court has advised that the first hearing (Nursing And Midwifery Council v Akinleye) is scheduled to only last 15 minutes.

Therefore, we should be on at 10:30

I seem to recall he had very little hesitation in granting the JR as well. He knows there is a very serious issue at that heart of this that needs a judgement. Bearing in mind that he is judging the legality of the retrospection as opposed to the scheme (not that the scheme was in anyway illegal, just that the waters are not muddied), I think this is very good news. We don't have a HMRC stooge.

Personally, I'm looking forward to this. At long last we get our say, and no longer have to take the lies and smears spread by the likes of lurch. I hope that HMRC and the Government are humiliated. And I hope when the dust settles, that some of them will be taken to task on how they have abused their position and their power.

Does anyone know if the court officials will be taking official notes of the proceedings so that we afterwards we can review in detail what each side has said.

If not can we take tape recordings of the proceedings on our mobiles etc.

Don't know the answer to the 1st point. As for the second, I don't think you allowed to use recording devices in the court room.

Stripey suit for you if you start recording or taking pictures.

There is a Court stenographer present but I'm not sure how long it is before the transcripts are available - may be several weeks, don't know.

I've stumbled upon this thread only today! Well done to all of you and especially DR.

Working in Southbank so should be able to attend at least for a couple of hours each day. In fact I turned up there an hour ago and found Court 2 locked up. Someone explained to me that I've got my dates mixed up. Doh.
