I would love to attend, unfortunately I am now a tax exile, forced into living on a sun baked beach in the middle of no where.

Can I suggest taking a few boxes of rotten fruit and eggs to pelt the HMRC plebs with. I am sure such actions can be deemed to be legal and in the best interest of the public.

The case is Huitson v HM Revenue & Customs
Maybe this is a stoopid question, but who is Huitson ? Is he one just of us and was (un)lucky that HMRC picked on him/her ?

Huitson is the poor sod that HMRC picked on. As I understand it he was one of the first to be enquired into and to receive CNs. As far as I'm aware he does not post on this forum. I'm not sure that he even has to be in Court tomorrow - he hasn't appeared for any of the other Hearings.

He's just like all of us - a normal person earning an adequate living being mistreated by the establishment.

Would love to be there, but my excuse is that wife and newborn arrived home yesterday after 16 days in hospital treating newborn with meningitis.

Good news on the JR would really be well timed this week, esp after a nasty letter from HMRC on Friday.

Some things are even more important than bankruptcy, hope your newborn makes a full recovery.

                    Thanks

And I forgot to say a big thankyou to DR and all the others that have contributed to this fight, it has provided much needed reassurance in what is a horrible state of affairs. It has certainly proved an education for me, and opened my eyes to the true nature of HMRC, a nasty, vindictive, ruthless and incompetent organization.
