The MontP team are significantly more impressive. It really looks like they are leaving nothing to chance. Lets hope its not wasted.Join the No To Retro Tax Campaign Now

Unlike Montpelier, they have no direct incentive to win (the £3M in loan repayments), and they have no future business which would be in jeopardy if they lost. Also, their reputation is not on the line over this.
The more I think about it, the more I'd rather they went their own way, or just left it to our team to fight the JR.
Ironically, the people they are representing might actually be better off if PwC took a back seat.Comment

Thanks very much for the updates today folks. The more I hear about the MontP team, the happier I am that it was them I paid fees to.

FOI Requests
If you have submitted an FOI request to HMRC recently, don't forget to complain if they don't respond within 20 working days.
Here is an example:

By the way, don't bother requesting an Internal Review as this just lets them off the hook. Look at the liberties they've taken with this one:

The name of the game now is to shame and humiliate the buggers over their flagrant disregard for the law.Comment

If they are breaking the law who gets and what penalties can be applied to the HRMC for not answering FOI requests?Regards
