If my Ltd doesn't have the funds to pay it's employee NMW could the director get into trouble? My Ltd didn't pay me a bean for 4 months last year, should I sue him?Originally posted by Ardesco View PostI believe you have to be fired or made redundant to be able to claim job seekers don't you? I'm pretty sure you can't claim it while employed by your company.....
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

dum... ok so
personally I have more than one weeks funds (hidden)... and the company has more than one weeks funds...
sorry have i missed something it was a simple question for discussion why all the drama and why are you asking about one weeks warchest funds?
f**k there could be more than a thousand reasons why somebody could be out of pocket... how old are you guys?
Yes i think you have to be made redundant/laid off for JSA but I wonderd if there was some kind of income support for directors if the company was making below a set amount.Comment

I'm not suggesting your company would get into trouble for not paying you, however it does seem a bit arse about face getting paid jobseekers when you are still technically employed by your ltd co......Comment

You can be a director of a ltd co without being an employee of the company. Which enables you to claim contribution-based JSA. Even if there's a few million in the company's coffers or in your bank account.
I don't see why you'd turn your nose up at £50 a week or whatever free money while you're sitting on the bench. It'd help contribute to your yacht's mooring fees.Last edited by NotAllThere; 3 February 2009, 13:40.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Which is what I understood as well... So to put it more simply.. Why won't yourco have funds to support you in a week's time when you're out of contract?Originally posted by chef View PostFrom the initial post I understood it that in a weeks time (when your no longer in contract) you dont have any funds in your co. to support you..Proud owner of +5 Xeno Geek PointsComment

So the company CAN support you then. Also, by 'hidden' do you mean you are deliberately evading tax?Originally posted by Mart001 View Postpersonally I have more than one weeks funds (hidden)... and the company has more than one weeks funds
I think government bailouts for failing companies only apply to companies the government thinks important. Doubt you fall into that category.Yes i think you have to be made redundant/laid off for JSA but I wondered if there was some kind of income support for directors if the company was making below a set amount.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

just calculating the worst, i think the contribution based JSA was somthing i was looking for but couldn't find anything.
I think the threshold on your savings is 6,000 to make any difference to amount of support.Comment
