Hi All,
Apologies if this is obvious, but I'm an employee of my Limited Company, I pay a minimal monthly salary and top up with dividends when I need to.
Question is, on the Online HMRC form I put "Self Employed" and now it's asking me:
--quote start --
You said that you were self-employed in the tax year 2007-08. Please complete the following question(s).
The information to help you complete this section can be found in your profit or loss accounts, records of business receipts and business expenses.
Did you have an annual turnover of £64,000 or more? *Please selectYesNo
If no, did you have an annual turnover of less than £30,000?
-- quote end --
Now I'm thinking I should put "Employee" instead, as surely the Self Assessment is to do with MYtax liability, so why is it asking about my "annual turnover".
If someone could please clarify, I couldn't find any info elsewhere on here.
Many thanks,
Rob
