    Fixed fee accountant

    Hi

Can anyone recommend a good accountant/accountancy firm with a fixed rate of around £50-60 per month ?

Preferably to include VAT, end of year tax, and docs e.g end of year minutes etc.

    Many thanks

    David

I think you'll be lucky to find one that low per month.

You'll be lucky. Around that figure you'll struggle to get the service and/or the expertise. You might get an online mob who'll not speak to you or you might get a high street guy with no knolwedge of the contractor game.

£80 - £100 is a more realistic figure IMO, but I am an accountant that charges in that bracket so I may be biased!

        Hi

These are just a couple from Google

        This one is for £55 - http://www.adeptaccounting.co.uk/Fix..._Acounting.asp

This one is for £60 http://www.nixonwilliams.com/?gclid=...FQWIlAodWw-P9w

I prefer to work from recommendations or reviews, but I haven't found any reviews for accountants.

        thanks

FWIW I think it would be very difficult to provide a high end personal service for that money.

Is the fee really that important? Penny-pinching on expert advice can be a false economy.

Although I do know that NW get a good name on this board but i can't comment on how personal the service is - if that's important to you.

Why don't you ask some of your colleagues who they are with and what their experiences are

            Hi

This year my colleagues and I are using a range of umbrella companies. They are ok, but you can't claim VAT or as many expenses. If an accountant does the required and has a good recommendation I've found them to be as good if not better than some of the more expensive accountants I've come across.

            thanks

That £50 can be put towards the first month's fee which should bring it down to a sensible level!

I would say, £80 - £100 is a more realistic figure, I work for an accountants in Scotland, and this is what we would charge. We think we justify this fee by giving more high level advice, which your £60 guys might not give you.
