If that is not sufficient then we should get another post together and add to that.....Comment

feeling generally sorry for myself right now!many thanks for delurking - apologies for not replying sooner but it takes a while for new posters' posts to get moderated.
How long have you been with montp? Still got a mortgage? If savings - have you bought a CTD?
The worst thing is that this will take years to resolve either way - better prepare for the long haul......Comment

Another de-lurker for the list
Another one out the shadows for BP's list.....
Been with MontP since 2004, and still keeping the faith.
Great thread!
I'm fortunate in having enough equity in the home & offset mortgage not to go down the CTD route, however this Credit Crunch is a bit crap. Not had a contract for ages......
How do I get a cool avatar?

In the early days I worried that the Forum might be making matters worse by raising stress levels but it's good to know that for most people it seems to be a positive thing. If nothing else, it may cut down on the barrage of calls and emails to MP, and allow them to concentrate on appealing CNs and filing this year's tax returns.
As far as the optimism is concerned, I don't think it is misplaced. We have a very strong case that the Government has acted unlawfully, and MP have hired top-notch barristors to represent us. I wish there was more we could do ourselves but the reality is this can only be fought through the courts.
Try to keep your spirits up.

I had a lovely email once from someone telling me EXACTLY what he thought of HMRC head office - and how much better he felt afterwards! If anyone else wants to do so then please PM me. I word for an IB with some of the most aggressive guys around ( canpaybutwontpay will back me up on that ) so I have seen heard it all before......Comment
